Pope Benedict has reportedly said condom use is ok, in certain circumstances. News of the Pope talking about the use of condoms is a hot Internet topic.

Tuesday the book the Light of the World,will be released. The book is an interview with journalist Peter Seewald and in it the Pope talks about condom use and the prevention of the spread of HIV.

The Vatican Newspaper released some excerpts Saturday, under the topic of sexuality it states, "Concentrate on condom means trivializing sexuality, and this trivialization is precisely the reason why so many dangerous and many people do not see sexuality as an expression of their love, but only a sort of drugs that are administered by itself. So the fight against the trivialization of sexuality is part of a great effort to ensure that sexuality is perceived and can exert its positive effect on the human being in its entirety."

There may be individual cases warranted, such as when a prostitute using a condom, and this may be the first step toward a moralization, a primary responsibility to develop a new awareness of the fact that not everything is permitted and which can not be do everything you want. However, this is not the proper way to overcome the infection of HIV. You really need a humanization of sexuality."

On the topic of the media and preist sex abuse the Vatican released this excerpt, "It was evident that the action of the media was not only driven by the pure pursuit of truth, but there was also a pleasure to put to shame the Church and, if possible, to discredit it. And yet it was necessary to make it clear that: sin so that it is to uncover the truth, we must be grateful. The truth, combined with a love properly understood, is the number one value. And then the media could not give these reports in the Church itself if it were not for evil. Just because the evil was inside the church, others have been able to turn against her."
